Mission

They sent me here to share how I cherish each salty tear, crimson stain, speck of mud and foggy sky. See a six legged creature and know why. To pour glasses of peace and fill plates with knowledge, so we may savor what we’ve learned, digesting later what we didn’t understand. I was sent here to nourish my heart with Earth and inspire others to do the same, if only because we will have a good time doing it. I agreed to come here because I wanted to feel again the love of Earth. It’s like no other.

Surrendering to the love of Earth

There's at least one point in every human's life when they choose whether they will continue to feel the magic of life, or they numb themselves from it. I tried numbing, but it didn't work.

I belong to the Earth.

My words, my voice, my visions are gifts. It began with drawings of big cats and dragons, lyrics about protecting earth's creatures. The tone shifted after certain heartbreaks fragmented my soul, and some pieces fled this plane. My art explored my pain, channeled fallen angels and scorned goddesses. I found my strength in those shadows, and they ultimately led me to reuinite with those missing pieces.

I'm informed by the landscape of my healing journey and the teachers, supporters, guides, ancestors,  and community walking with me on this beautiful path.

The inner terrain of our Self is full of both light and shadows. They coexist. Always. When in harmony, shadows are like the rich mud nourishing the flower on a pond's surface.  I tell stories from this place of union: where the light and dark meet, dance, and make magic.

The more I revel in the joy of creation, the more I fully embrace my gifts, the more I lean into any resistance and heed the wisdom of my wounds: the more I can hear the plants, the waters, the angels, the fairies, the ancestors and all the Earth.

Many of us do this naturally as children, for it is our original nature. A birthright.

Jamila means beautiful

May you, dear one, remember your birthright. Your creative freedom. Your wild self. The love of your cosmic mothers and fathers, Earth & Sky. May you trust your body's intelligence, your intuition, your power to heal and to love. You are beautiful. Let's make this a beautiful earth.

Please stay tuned for more publications, artworks, and the launch of my first sound healing journeys for the collective. You can follow me on Instagram for updates and poetry.
